Stone Sculptor
(Seneca-Cayuga, Deer Clan)



Tom Huff is a stone sculptor who works in a variety of styles
and themes thatrange from traditional to contemporary. He also
works with mixed media/found object sculpture to create pieces
that provide social commentary on the effectsof American culture
on Native Peoples today.

Although first inspired by the artists at the Seneca Nation of
Indians' Cattaraugus Reservation, he later received his Associate
of Fine Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Sante
Fe, New Mexico and his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island
School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. Currently, he lives on
the Onondaga Nation Territory with his family, where he maintains a studio. In addition to his art, Huff teaches, lectures and curates exhibits. For more information, visit his website at: www.stonedust.com.
